With the win the Golden Bears wrap up the regular season with a 14-2 overall record and will be the number one seed in the upcoming CCC Tournament after finishing league play with an 8-0 record. The Leopards end their season at 4-8 (0-8), however, set a program record for wins. Continue reading

With the win the Golden Bears improve to 11-5 overall and 7-1 in CCC play. Western New England will be the number two seed in the upcoming CCC Tournament and will receive a first-round bye. BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Jessica Houghton (Billerica, Mass.) registered six points, including the game-winning goal and became the first player in program history to register 100 career points, as the Wentworth Institute of Technology women’s lacrosse team defeated Massachusetts Maritime Academy 12-10 in overtime in a non-conference contest on Sweeney Field.

OWINGS MILLS, Md. –The Wentworth Institute of Technology men’s volleyball team finished as the runner up in the ECAC Division III Championship, defeating Southern Vermont in three sets in the semifinals and falling to Stevenson 3-1 in the championship match Saturday afternoon at Owings Mills Gym. This marked the third straight season the Black & Gold have advanced to the championship and the defending champions were matched up with Stevenson in the finals for a second straight season.

Wheaton got on the board in the first five minutes of play with a goal from freshman Scott Whear (Duxbury, Mass.). Four minutes later, senior Dillion Lynch (Southwick, Mass.) put Wentworth on the board to tie it at one. However, Whear struck again for Wheaton with 3:48 left, as the Lyons led 2-1 after the first. FORT MYERS, Fla., – The Wentworth Institute of Technology softball team opened the 2015 season with a pair of losses at the Gene Cusic Classic. The Leopards lost to Swarthmore 10-1 in six innings in the first game, and then fell to Rockford by a 6-4 score in their second game of the day.

Against Swarthmore, the Garnet scored three times in the first inning to account for the only runs they would need. Swarthmore tallied a pair of runs in the second, a run in the fourth and fifth innings, and finally three runs in the sixth. Continue reading

The fourth-seeded Leopards advanced with a 70-61 victory over the eighth-seeded University of New England behind Cesar Fulcar’s (Watertown, Mass.) career night. The freshman guard scored a game and career-high 21 points, going 7-for-9 from the floor, which included going 4-for-5 from behind the arc and added five rebounds and four assists.
